ABOUT US

The Porter Church of Christ is a diverse group of imperfect people on a journey to be more like Christ in our thoughts, words, and actions.  We desire to see lives changed by the incredible forgiveness and grace that is made available through Jesus Christ.  We are striving to become a group of believers who walk alongside the people of East Montgomery County and share our lives together, so that God is glorified.

YOUTH

“Don’t let anyone look down on you because you are young, but set an example for the believers in speech, in conduct, in love, in faith and in purity.”

— I Timothy 4:12

“For I know the plans I have for you,” declares the Lord, “plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future.”

— Jeremiah 29:11

“He gives strength to the weary and increases the power of the weak.

Even youths grow tired and weary, and young men stumble and fall;

but those who hope in the Lord will renew their strength.  They will soar on wings like eagles; they will run and not grow weary, they will walk and not be faint.”

-- Isaiah 40:29-31

Youth Ministry

Mission Statement

At Porter Church of Christ the mission of our youth ministry is to create an environment  for young Christians to make disciples, build morals, character, and values. Through youth gatherings and activities young men and women will come to understand and recognize the love of Jesus and what it means to live for Him daily.

Ministry Vision

The vision of our Youth Ministry is to create opportunities for young people to use their talents and knowledge to live a life of Jesus. Through the use of activities and volunteering they will understand what the love of Christ means and how they can show it to others. Young Christians will understand that their age has no limit over the impact they can make on their congregation, community, and World.
