Our Women’s Ministry exists so that every woman feels connected, loved, accepted, encouraged, and equipped to pursue a growing relationship with Jesus Christ and others. We want to develop a creative and supportive fellowship with all women in our congregation so we can model our relationships to others in our community. We want to enrich the life of every woman we meet.
The Vision for Women’s Ministry at Porter Church of Christ is to develop a caring community of women devoted to Christ, through real relationships, Christ-centered focus, and widespread mission.
Real Relationships - significant and deepening relationships with one another
Christ- Centered Focus - spiritual encouragement and growth
Widespread Mission - meeting the needs of each other in all seasons of our lives, and of those in our community and around the world
Pray for the women in our congregation, pray for the events that we plan, pray for those in our congregation who are struggling and those who need healing, encouragement and support.
Nurture the spirit of power and love to lead projects, take on new roles, and share God’s love with others.
Get women involved in ministry. Help women identify their God given gifts and use them to serve. Do life with other women. Connect with in all phases of life so we grow and learn more.
Plan and facilitate activities and special events that create deep connections, real relationships, spiritual growth, and reaches outsiders to let them know they are loved and wanted.
Women’s ministry is made of team members who assist the ministry leader to achieve the women’s ministry mission and vision by using their gifts, passion and talents. We want every woman in our congregation to be involved in some way. There IS a place for YOU!
