Men's Ministry


Mission Statement

The mission of the Men’s Ministry is building men who irrationally love God and others.  The purpose is to create opportunities for men to cultivate authentic, trusting relationships in which they mentor, sharpen, and equip each other to actively engage their faith.


Ministry Vision

The Vision for the Men’s Ministry at Porter Church of Christ is to be a growing group of fearless Jesus followers who love, serve, and lead others to know Jesus.  The Men’s Ministry leads men to use their God-given talents to be the hands and feet of Jesus in bringing life and light into the lives of other men and the rest of the world.


Ministry  Responsibilities
  1. Refine
    Through community service, gatherings, prayer, and study, the Men’s Ministry refines men into mature, spiritual Jesus followers, husbands, fathers, leaders, and servants in our community.

  2. Sharpen
    The Men’s Ministry  facilitates opportunities for men to connect and sharpen each other by way of recreational activities including sports, game nights, camping trips, fishing, hunting, sport shooting, and other really fun guy stuff with the purpose of building meaningful, authentic relationships with each other along the way.

  3. Forge
    The Men’s Ministry forges men into the image of God.  While men are completely human, they have been made in the image of God-full of goodness, love, and mercy.  The Men’s Ministry gives men the freedom to confess their sins to each other, admit their weaknesses, and become meek to a world that only sees weak--to become strong in the eyes of their Creator.
